Books Are A Blast

Books Are A Blast is the show Tom created to tour libraries.
    “I want to thank you once again for an amazing week of magic,” said Ms. Rose Donoway, Youth Services Coordinator for the Worcester County Library. “What a terrific way to kick-off a summer reading program!”
    The show mixes magic with Tom’s keen interest in reading and easy rapport with children and adults alike.
    “As always, your show was superb!” said Ms. Linda Clemens, librarian at the Cockeysville Branch.
“It was extremely enertaining, and the children enjoyed it emmensely!”
    Books Are A Blast visited 58 branches in the DelMarVa region in 2001.
    “Your performance was one of the best we’ve ever had,” said Ms. Eva Shankman, Silver Spring Children’s Librarian.
    Let Tom and Beowulf T. Wonderbunny bring the laughter and amazement of Books Are A Blast to your branch too!

When Beowulf T. Wonderbunny and Tom Lilly check in at your library, you can expect laughter from the front desk to the stacks!
    They might be showing off their collection of strange tomes or inviting audience volunteers take over the action.
    Pinky and Floyd, the World’s Fastest Bookworms, will amaze and delight as they demonstrate their speed and deliver a surprise message!
    Then with the help of Uncle Sammy and Lady Liberty, Tom will recreate history and the day that Diana Ross sewed the first American flag.
    Seemore the Psychic Snake may slither in, or maybe Kong will lose his head and go ape!
    There might be flowers blooming or a lucky (?) lad sporting King Tut’s necklace.
    And don’t be surprised if there’s a quick commercial, too, before Beowulf T. Wonderbunny himself appears in his very own bookmobile!
